Poem one, If, is about a father telling his child that he can dream, think, trust, dislike, win, risk, walk with kings, start new beginnings, and be a man without being hurtful to others.
ReplyDeleteThe second poem, Who Has Seen the Wind, is about someone asking you if you have seen the wind and she/he is saying that you can't see the wind but it is always there passing by.
I would choose poem one, If, because it tells me that I can do and be whatever I want without being mean or bragging. There was rhyming and repetition and great description that I sort of understood and put to mind. It tells me how to be a person of character and integrity

ReplyDeleteThe poem, Who Has Seen the Wind?, is about a person who is asking if anybody has seen the wind, and nobody has. Then when he sees the trees bow down their heads, The wind is passing by.
I vote for Who Has Seen the Wind? because i like the way that they tell the story, and I like that it repeats at the top ont he new paragraph. I also like the way that it rhymes.

I vote for Who Has Seen The Wind? because I like how it repeats the first sentence. I also like who it rhymes.

I picked if because it has a lot of figurative language. My connection is if reminds me of mother to son because it has a grown up speaking to a kid about life.

My favorite poem is, Who Has Seen the Wind? because I like the repition in the two stanzas, and I really liked the way I pictured it was like you can not see God, but you know he's there.

I chose the poem Who Has Seen The Wind because I liked the way the two stanzas went together and how the author used repetition.
The first poem, Who Has Seen the Wind?, is about somebody asking if anyone has seen the wind? It is repetitive in the first two lines. Nobody has seen it though, until we see the leaves moving. The poem also talks about when the wind hits the trees.
ReplyDeleteThe second poem, If-, is about a father telling his son good advice about what he can do to become a man. This poem has a lot of passion in the fathers thoughts, and I love how this poem rhymes so frequently.
My favorite poem is If-, by Rudyard Kipling. I like this poem because of the brilliant rhymes and the thought. This poem reminds me of my dad always sharing great advice.
The first poem, Who Has Seen The Wind, is about a person not having seen the wind. And he is asking,"have you seen the wind?" He talks about how he thinks he can see it, but then again he can't. It also has a very well written rhyme scheme.

My favorite poem would have to be, Who Has Seen The Wind? It is just very understanding and I could feel the feelings and see the image it was trying to build in my mind. It has amazing writers craft, rhyme scheme and just making it where you might think you are there in the scene, of the poem.

I think the winner should be If- because the advise the father gives the boy reminds me of my grandmothers advice about growing up. I also like how the author used the metaphors to bring the poem to life.

My favorite poem was Who has seen the wind. I liked this poem best because I have experienced waching trees blow in the wind. So when i read this poem I could really feel what the writer was trying to say.

The second poem, Who Has Seen the Wind?, is about a person asking someone if they have seen the wind. Nobody has seen the wind and that is what he is first talking about in this poem. Then he shows you the stories of the times he has seen the wind blow, like in the leaves and it the trees. I like the way the author repeats in this poem.
My favorite poem is Who Has Seen the Wind? I like this poem because it is a poem that asks you a question. At first, the narrator asked "who has seen the wind?" then in the end he answers by telling a story. I also like how the narrator sets the story in the woods.

My favorite poem was If because it told of how you can be a good hearted person and be calm, cool, and collective. I also liked it because the boy, his son, is exactly like a person of integrity that Mrs. Russell was talking about. My grandmother was exactly like the boy described n the poem. She was kind to everyone, and was a person of integrity.

My favorite was If~ because i loved the story is told and the rhyming words. It was the perfect poem for me.
The first poem IF is about a father telling his son about life, the earth, and the horrible ways and the good ways of life. The father is also telling the son that there will be good things in life and bad things in life.

I have to say that I like Who Has Seen The Wind is a very nice poem I just love how the person answers I really like this poem.
