I think, The New Suit, has more charecter traits and meaning. It describes what the tag or invite says. I think that you should choose wether or not it is funny. I think you should choose which one is more meaningful.
ReplyDeleteEvan though, Do You Carrot All For Me, is funny, it is not very meaningful. But I do have a connection with Do You Carrot All For Me, because I love my cat Coco and I care for her.
Do You Carrot All For Me has more of the meaning besides the fact of veggie word play. It tells about a young child asking his mom or dad if they care for him.
ReplyDeleteThe New Suit I can make a connection with. I can make a T-S connection with this poem because I often have to wear something I don't like that holds me back from doing certain things.
I think the winner should be do The New Suit because I can connect with it which helps me understand how the character feels better.
Do you carrot at all for me? is a poem that is about a man asking someone if they care at all for him. It also has good word play.
ReplyDeleteThe New Suit is about a man that wore a really nice suit to a party and he couldn't do anything he wanted to because he would get his suit dirty. So next year he said he would were old clothes so he can do the things he couldn't do.
I choose Do you carrot at all for me? to win because I really liked it's word play for example: Weed make a swell pear. I think that Do you carrot at all for me? should win.
Do you carrot for me is more meaning full because I am hungry and It has veggies.

ReplyDeleteDo You Carrot For Me, has more meaning to me. It has more meaning to me because it reminds me of my dog. It reminds me of my dog because my dogs is very needy for love and it seems like he is saying " Do you care at all for me?".

My favorite poem is, The New Suit, because I made a text to self connection that sometimes I feel like I can't eat much because I have a nut allergy. There is repitition and the meaning is more important to me.
The first poem, Do You Carrot all for Me, is about liking someone and marrying them and I think the poem is comparing those situations to fruits and vegetables. For example it uses text like My heart BEETS for you, and LETTUCE marry.

I think Do You Carrot All For Me should win because it uses clever word play and is a very enjoyable poem due to the rythem.
For the winner I chose Do You Carrot At All for me because although it's funny, I just really enjoy it. I'm not saying that the new suit isn't enjoyable, it's just that reading Do You Carrot At All For Me was a different point of view of things, through fruit!

ReplyDeleteThe second poem I read was The new Suit. It is about a man who is describing his new suit. He does not want to get it dirty, but he also said next year it will be different because he said I need to get ready to get dirty next year. It uses ABAC rhyme schemes.
I think the winner should be the new suit because it inspired me more than do you carrot all for me. I liked the rhymes more because it used outfit kind of clothes.

The meaning to mother to son is that when the mom is saying to her son all about what happened to her she told her son my connection is text-self because when my mom tells me about stuff that happened back then it's a lot like this.
