- Which poet's craft do you enjoy more? Be sure to give examples.
- Poet's craft can include: repetition, imagery, personification, rhyme, alliteration, couplets, onomatopoeia, simile/metaphor, etc

“Mother to Son” is a more important poem because it has a deeper meaning. A mother is telling her son to never give up in life even when it gets hard.
I can make a connection to “Mother to Son” because sometimes I want to give up, and my mom always comforts me.

The winner is "Casey At The Bat". I think the poem with a better meaning was, "Casey At The Bat" because "Dust of Snow", didn't have much of a meaning. I made a connection t-w. Casey wasn't doing good and sometimes the best players mess up, nobody is perfect. The poem I chose that gave the most meaning was "Roger the Dog."I felt it gave the most meaning because sometimes my dog is like this too! The meaning of “Roger the Dog” is that he is really sleepy. Roger sleeps a lot and doesn’t like to get up. Roger snores when he sleeps.

The writers craft in If~ is repetition because it says If. Also it uses rhyme scheme, AAAABCBC. It uses couplet, If you can keep your head when all about you
are you losing theirs and blaming it on you. The poem uses alliteration, All about. Metaphor is also used in the poem, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it.
