ReplyDeleteI can make a connection with “Casey at the Bat”. My friend plays on a softball team and she is really good. At one point her team really needed her a home run and she was up to bat, but she accidentally struck out and she was really upset with herself. She came home with us afterwards and I know exactly how she felt.

In the poem “Mother To Son” I made a connection. The mother in this poem is caring and willing to tell the truth. This reminds me of my mom. My mom always tells the truth. For example, once in kindergarten I got in trouble. Later that day I told my mom, and she that sometimes I will get in trouble. My mom was not proud of me for getting in trouble,but she was still there to talk with me.
