The Eagle is about an eagle flying over the sea and close to the sun. Then he is watching the mountain and swoops down like a lightning bolt to catch his prey.
The second poem, Casey at Bat, is about a boy whose baseball team is losing,but there are two people on base. Casey gets two strikes, and the crowd is very upset. Finally, Casey strikes out, and the crowd is outraged.
For the winner, I choose The Eagle. I choose it because it had a deeper meaning and understanding for me. I also liked how used a rhyme scheme of AAABBB. Also, the author used a simile comparing the eagle to a thunderbolt, "He watches from his mountain walls, And like a thunderbolt he falls." That is why I choose The Eagle.
This is just to say is about a kid who ate the plums that his parents were going to eat for breakfast. Choosing shoes is about a kid who is complaining about how his parents wont let him have fancy shoes. I like This Is Just To Say because it is kind of funny and it is more brief than choosing shoes plus the person is whining because he doesn't get what he wants.

The first poem ,"This Is Just To Say," was about a girl saying that I ate your Plum. And she was saying I ate the plums that were in a icebox so she is telling the reader that if your plums were in a icebox then I ate them.

My favorite story was probley ,"This Is Just To Say," because I liked how the author said if yours was in the icebox than I ate them and I thought that was really funny. And what I also thought was funny was she said they were really delicious.
