  1. I choose The Falling Star because it has a deeper meaning. For example the meaning is that you should never have a dream then let go of it.

I can make a connection to this by saying I have some dreams and then I forget about them.

I like this poem because the writer's craft. For example I saw alliteration in the part"I saw a star slide down the sky" with the letter s. Also the rhyme scheme is AABBCC and I think that that is cool. I also saw couplets throughout the whole thing. That's why I chose The Falling Star.

I also liked this poem because It uses a lot of poet's craft. For example, it uses a metapher,"With your turnip nose." This is why I liked Do you Carrot all for me?

  5. I chose DO YOU CARROT ALL FOR ME over THE FALLING STAR because it had more meaning to me and I liked the poet's craft a lot.

One connection that I can make with this poem is that I love fruits and vegetables.

Some poet's craft I noticed was word play. For example when the author said," WEED make a swell PEAR." he meant it to be like "WE'D make a swell PAIR". He also changed," My heart BEATS for you" to " My heart BEETS for you." That is all of the poet's craft that I noticed.

That is why I chose DO YOU CARROT ALL FOR ME as the winner for this final four round.

  6. I loved both of these poems, but if I had to choose one I would say The Falling Star. I liked it because it had a deeper meaning to me. I also liked how the author used couplets. For example "I saw a star slide down the sky, blinding the north as it went by." I can make a connection to this poem because I love looking for falling stars. I also noticed that the author used alliteration, and personification all in one sentence. For example "I saw a star slide down the sky." This is why I chose The Falling Star.
