  1. The first poem, Do You Carrot All For Me, is about a person who is in love and is showing it by saying different words.

    The second poem, The Castle In The Fire, is about an old enchanted castle that is on fire and a knight came to save a woman who was trapped in the castle.

    The poem I chose was Do You Carrot All For Me. I really like the meaning in this poem and it is easy to understand. I also chose it because it doesn't rhyme which makes it unique. I really like how it says "lettuce marry." It's really funny and I like how they used vegetables to write it.

    The Castle In The Fire is about a knight that is fighting a dragon.

    My winner is Do You Carrot All For Me because it doesn't have rhyme scheme and because it's about food.

    The Castle In The Fire is about all thing that are in a castle and the author used A B C B in this poem.

    I think Do You Carrot All For Me should win because it is way more meaningful and if you are having a bad day anything can cheer you up.

  4. The first poem, Do You Carrot All For Me?, is a poem with puns about vegetables. The poem uses puns like, lettuce marry, my heart beets for you, if we cantaloupe, and a few others.

    The second poem, The Castle In The Fire, is about a castle in the deep lands. They use imagery to show where they are and what is happening. They're trying to escape the land, and they do successfully as the lady and the knight.

    My winner for this madness is Do You Carrot For Me?! There is a metaphor using the vegetables as puns. There is no rhyme scheme, which makes the poem unique. I loved the puns, and it was an overall winner because of the metaphors/puns.

  5. Do you Carrot all for me is about a person who is in love with a girl but talks using fruits and vegetables.. For example," Do you carrot all for me? My heart beets for you. With your turnip nose, and your radish face, you are a peach. If we cantaloupe, lettuce marry. Weed make a swell pear." I think that poem is very funny.
    The Castle in the Fire is about a castle in the fire and how someone saw a knight fighting a dragon and won. Later they saw a lady and a knight riding away together.
    I choose Do you carrot all for me because it was really funny and it had great imagery. I could picture a man saying all of that to a lady.

  6. Do You Carrot All For Me is about someone who loves vegetables and fruits and they want to get married so the person uses puns tell the other person that.

    The Castle In The Fire is about a fight with a night and dragons guarding the gates and turrets protecting to. The night and the princess ride away after the fight is over and the castle is on fire.

    I chose Do You Carrot At All For Me because it has personification because it says "your radish face," and "your turnip nose." I also liked the puns.

  7. Do you Carrot all for me is about veggies that are talking about loving each other and marrying. I think it was cute because they use veggies for words. My favorite line was we make a great pear, because instead of spelling it pair like a pair of shoes they spell it like a fruit.
    The castle in the Fire is about a knight fighting a dragon and then falling in love with the princess who he saved. I don't really know the meaning of this story.
    I choose Do you Carrot about me because I liked its meaning and thought it was very cute. I also didn't understand the meaning of The Castle on Fire.

    The second poem, The Castle in the fire, is about a war that has set fire to a castle.

    I like Do you Carrot all for me? Because It's funny and the words they used. For example, instead of let us marry, they said lettuce marry. That is why I choose do you Carrot all for me?

    The second poem,The Castle In The Fire, is about an old castle that is catching on fire,and a man comes to rescue a girl who is trapped in the fire.

    I chose Do You Carrot All For Me because It uses a metaphor. For example, you are a peach, my heart beets for you, with your turnip nose, and and your radish face.

  10. Do you Carrot all for Me is about a vegetable is asking another vegetable to marry him. I think that the couple is madly in love. It also has personification.

    Castle in The Fire is about a princess that is in captured by a dragon. There is a fire, and a brave knight saved her. I think that the knight had to be brave because if he wasn't brave he would not have fought the dragon.

    I think that The Castle In The Fire should win because it is a fantasy story. I also think it should win because the rime scheme is the same in each paragraph, A,B,C,B. Another reason that I think it should win is because it. I think that the princess and the knight will live happily ever after because the knight saved the princesses life.

    The Castle In The Fire is about a castle being guarded by dragons and a knight that has a mission to save a fair maiden.

    I think The Castle In The Fire should win because i think it had a good ring to it and i like medieval.

  12. The first poem, Do You Carrot all for Me, is about a person talking to another person saying. Do you care at all about me?

    The second poem, The Castle in the Fire, is about an evil dragon taking over the castle and a brave knight has to go and save the lady inside the tower.

    The poem I choose is Do You Carrot all for Me, even though the Castle in the Fire has a good rhyme scheme, I think that Do You Carrot all for Me is better because the word play with fruits and veggies makes it cool. Also the idea of creating it with plant names it funny.

  14. Do you carrot all for me? Is about about a boy asking his love do you care all about our love and he's putting his words in vegetables in his love letter.

    The Castle in the Fire, is about how a castle roars in flames and a princess is inside who needs help so a night comes to save her but he's stopped by a dragon and the castle crumbles but he saves the princess!

    I choose Do you carrot all for me, because of its metaphors, for example, "With your turnip nose" is a great way to tell the story. I also chose it because of its personification which makes it a great story.

  15. I think that the first poem, Do you Carrot at All for me, is about someone who is in love with someone else, and he is making metaphors by relating their love to fruits and veggies.
    I think the second poem, The Castle in the Fire, is about a princess who is stuck in a castle on fire because of a dragon. Then A brave knight comes and fights the dragon.
    I chose Do You Carrot At All for me because I liked how it was a free verse and I thought it was cute how he was relating their love to veggies.

    The Castle of Fire is about a dragon and knight who come to the castle and when smoke clears up the Lady is riding with him.

    The winner is bumbumbum The Castile of Fire because of the rhyme scheme: abab and abcb and abcb and others. I love all the rhyming parts. I also love it when is said Riding away together the lady and the knight.

    The poem .castle of Fire ,is about a castle that roars with flames and has dragon guarding it .There is a princes in the castle and she needs help ,so a night comes to save her.

    I think the winner should be,Do You Carrot All For Me because i love how they added fruits and veggies into word in to the poem .I also choose it because it has great personification in the story.

  18. The first poem,Do you carrot all for me, I really liked because it had a lot of good wordplay in it.It also had lots of metaphors and similes.

    The second poem,The castle in the fire was long and had good rhythm and it had lots of good rhyming in it.But, I think it did not have much creativity,because it took a story already made and then just turned it in a poem.

    My winner is Do you carrot all for me because it had good rhyme,wordplay,and metaphors like, "you are a peach."

  19. The Castle in the Fire is about a brave knight who saved a lady from a dragon. He was dressed in a coat of mail. It was a brilliant fight. In the end the knight came out from the cloud of smoke with the lovely lady.

    Do you carrot all for me? is about a person telling how much he/she cares for him/her using plays on words with veggies and fruits.

    For my winner I chose Do you Carrot all for me? I chose Do you Carrot all for me? because it is sweet, short, and funny. I also chose it because it uses personification. It uses personification when it describes the body parts as veggies and fruits. I also like it because the poet used a metaphor. He/she used a metaphor when the author wrote, "You are a peach."

    The second poem, The Castle in the Fire is about a castle is on fire and a princess is in the castle the prince goes to save her but gets stopped by a dragon and saves the princess.

    I think the winner is Do you carrot all for me? because it put an imagery in my head and it is a good image. It has it has a metaphor. For example, in the poem it says, "You are a peach."

  21. The first poem I read was Do You Carrot All For Me?. Do You Carrot All for Me? is about somebody asking somebody else that they love if they care at all for them, put instead of using some of the words they put in fruits and veggies. I found a metaphor in this poem. For example the poet says "You are a peach.".

    The second poem I read was The Castle in the Fire. The Castle in the Fire is about a knight that came to save a lady from a castle that was on fire. The night had to fight a dragon to get her out of the castle . He got h the women out safe. I found a rhyme scheme in this poem (ABCB).

    My favorite poem out of Do You Carrot All for Me? and The Castle in the Fire was Do You Carrot all for Me?. I liked Do you Carrot All for Me? because the person was asking someone if they cared for them but in a different way using veggies and fruits.

  24. The first poem is Do You Carrot For Me At All.It's about a person loving for another person but they were using food puns. The writer's craft is metaphor like "You are a peach."

    The second poem is The Castle In The Fire. It's about a dragon's setting a town on fire but a knight and a lady had saved the day. The rhyme scheme for the first two stanzas are ABCB ABCB.

    The winner for me is The Castle In The Fire because the other poem was cheesy.

    The second poem is called, The Castle in The Fire. It is about a knight who fights a dragon. The dragon almost killed the knight, but the knight slashed the dragon and saved the lovely lady.


    Out of those two I would choose...The Castle In The Fire. Because the knight saves the lovely Princess.The rhyme scheme is a,b,c,b

    The Castle in the Fire is about a castle burning in flames with a princess who needs to get out of the castle, so a night comes to save her but a dragon comes but the night still saves the princess.

    The second poem The Castle in the fire is about a castle that is on fire with a pretty lady inside. A gallant knight goes to try and save her. The knight comes out with the lady riding together on the horse.

    I choose the poem, The Castle and the Fire, because of its great rhyme scheme ABCB it really gives the story some interest. I really thought that this story had a lot of action and that is why I chose this poem.

  30. Do you Carrot all for Me? is by an anonymous poet. It is a love poem that uses vegetable puns. This poem uses metaphors like, "And your radish face..." I do not like this poem because it is too cheesy.

    The Castle in the Fire, by Mary Jane Carr, is about a knight saving a lady from being stuck in a castle with dragons guarding it. When the knight tried to save the lady, he got into a fight with the dragons, but he ended up saving the lady. This poem uses personification like, dragons aren't real, but the guard the castle. The rhyme scheme is (A)(B)(C)(B). The poem also uses alliteration. For example, "Set to guard the gate..." Lastly, it uses metaphor because it uses, "A gallant knight came riding.

    I think the winner is The Castle in the Fire because Do you Carrot all for me? is not a good poem, and The Castle in the Fire tells a story.
