The first poem, This Is Just To Say, is about a boy who has eaten the plums in the icebox that his family was probably saving for breakfast and asking to be forgiven even though they were delicious. The second poem,Choosing Shoes, is about a girl asking what type of shoes you would buy if you could. I chose the poem This is just to say because of the imagery. Choosing shoes is about a kid who is telling us all the different kinds of shoes, and which ones she'd choose. Unfortunatly, her mom is going to get her the only pair she doesn't like.

I choose Choosing Shoes because it has a very bouncy rhyme scheme, for example: the poem goes, AAA B AAA B AAA B AAA B. It also uses imagery when the author says: Pretty pointy toe shoes, "Strappy cappy low shoes;" It also has alliteration. For example: the poem says, "Dandy dance, and pretty pointy," It also was a lot more fun to say.
