I also think Do You Carrot All For Me? should win because of the rhyme Scheme,A B C D, It is totally different which makes it unique. This is why Do You Carrot All For Me? should win.
think Roger The Dog means more to me. It tells how he is lazy and just sits around. Sometimes you just have to let them take a break.
ReplyDeleteMy connection to Roger The Dog is, I used to have a dog that sat around on the couch all day and never got up. The only time he gets up is when he sits outside my door till I wake up.
I enjoy Roger The Dos poet craft better. The rhyme scheme of the whole poem is AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. There is alliteration, dinner dish,flops flat.
I choose Roger the Dog because it has more meaning.

For the winning poem I choose Do You Carrot All For Me because I think it tells a good deal about how you should express your feelings toward another person.

I also liked it because it used poet's craft. It had metaphors. For example, "You are a peach." Is something it said and I thought, "Wow! I saw a metaphor! Yippee!"

I think Roger the Dog's meaning is deeper to me because it talks about a man who loves his dog but never gets to do anything with him because a Roger does is sleep and eat which kinda makes it a lose lose situation.

The author used used AA BB For example,asleep he wheezes at his ease
he only wakes to scratch his fleas. He hogs the fire, he bakes his head.

The poem I choose is, Roger The Dog, even though it has a bad meaning I like it a lot also because of it's poet's craft. One of the poets I like is the rhyme scheme (AABBCC). The other reason I like it because it uses similes like "He bakes his head as if it were a loaf of bread." The poet's craft and the connection I made are the reason I think Roger The Dog should win.
I think that Do You Carrot All For Me should win because of the puns. It is about someone wanting to marry a person through puns. It's unique but in my opinion is a better meaning than a dog sleeping.
ReplyDeleteI can make a connection because I used to say a pun that went like this, "Orange you glad I'm here." I know everyone knows it, but this poem reminded me of it.
There is a metaphor using the vegetables as puns. There is no rhyme scheme, which makes the poem unique. I loved the puns, and it was an overall winner because of the metaphors/puns.
Roger the Dog means more to me because he is just like my dog Sam. He will come into the same room as you, and lay down right in front of you, and when you get up you have forgotten that he is there so you fall over him.
ReplyDeleteOne connection that I have with roger the dog is that my dog is just like him. He uses all his energy when he eats. The one thing they don't have in common is that Sam loves to be outside!! He would stay outside all day if you let him!
I like that the writer's craft includes a rhyme scheme. The rhyme scheme is A,A for each stanza. I also like that the writers craft includes alliteration for the words he and you.
I think Do you Care at all for Me has a deeper meaning because it is showing that you can express something to someone through anything even fruit puns.
