Would You Rather Part 6

Dear students,

For your final blog posts, you will write a persuasive paragraph in a series called "Would You Rather." In each post, I will give you a scenario, and you will have to defend your answer using the following criteria:

  • topic sentence stating your opinion
  • At least 3 supporting sentences defending your opinion
  • One counter argument
  • A concluding sentence summarizing your writing

Here is your "Would You Rather" for today:

Would you rather be the best player on a losing team or the worst player on a winning team?

Please remember to check for mistakes by reading aloud your post to yourself before you publish it. I cannot wait to see what you write!

Your teacher,
Ms. B :)

  1. I would choose to be the best player on the worst team. First off, I would get all the attention on the team. Second, Coach would allow me to shoot the shots I wanted to shoot. Third, I would get the ball a lot. Some may say if you are the worst player on a winning team you may not get to play a lot but you would still get medals/trophies. That is why I choose to be the best player on a losing team.

  2. If I had to choose being the best player on the losing team of the worst player on a winning team I would choose to be the worst player on the winning team. For example, you would at least be on a winning team. Also, If you were the worst player on the winning team hat means that you would still be good at basketball, but not the best on your team. Finally, you would be happy that you won every game YAY!!!! However, some people say that they would rather be the best on a losing team because that means that you are better than everyone else on your team. This is why I would rather be the worst on a winning team rather than the best on a losing team.

  3. I would rather be the best player on a losing team than being the worst player on a winning team. I would want to because I would probably be AWESOME!!!! Also because I would always be the hero of the team. Finally, because I would get to help teach the other players, and make them beast. Some people would want to be the worst player on a winning team because they would win a lot. However, I think being the best player on a losing team is better than being the worst player on a winning team.

  4. If I had the choice between being the best player on a losing team or the worst player on a winning team, I would choose to be the worst player on a winning team. If I was the worst player, I would still be happy to be on a winning team. Other players would still be happy, and I wouldn't let them down. I would still be proud of giving it my very best. Some people would want to be the best player no matter what and just want to impress others. I think you would be a lot happier if your team won. I would rather be the worst player on a winning team than be the best player on a losing team.

  5. I would choose binging the worst player and win because I wouldn't want everyone counting on me if I was the best player. And I wouldn't want people booing at me since I was the best player and my team lost. Although, some people may choose binging the best player and lost a team because they in their opinion, they like people cheering at them in the middle on the game. So that is why I would pick bining the worst player and winning.

  6. If I had to choose between being the best player on a losing team or being the worst player on a winning team I would choose to be the best player on a losing team here's why. First, I don't care if I win or loose I care about how much effort I put in to it. Second, I would be the best player on my team so that's good. Third, I would like to be the best player on every team. However, I wouldn't win so it might not be as fun. That is why I choose this! :0

  7. I would choose to be the best player on the losing team.1 because you would get the most playing time.2 because they know you are good so they trust you.3 because most of the time you don't get the blame for something. But others would prefer to be on a winning team because they win. I would prefer to be the best player on a losing team more than being the worst player on a winning team.

This is amazingly easy, I would be the best on a losing team. No question asked. In this case it's football. First of all, I have a better chance of getting to the NFL than the other bad player. I would be scouted more than my teammates and the bad player. An example is Carson Wentz who was on a losing team but is still great and ended up being the 2nd person drafted in the draft. I would also get the ball more and get more individual attention so I would be getting better at a faster pace than my teammates or the bad player. Although being a great player on a losing team is better, some may argue that being on a winning team but being a bad player is better. Why? You don't get to play and you'll get redshirted for your whole college career. Seriously. In conclusion, being amazing but being on a losing team is best.

  9. If I had to choose between being the best player on a losing team or the worst player on a winning team, I would choose to be the best player on a losing team. I would choose that because you would still have some benefits. For instance, your teammates would still look up to you, even though you lost. Also, you would still be able to play well, even though you lost. Plus, you could always switch teams. However, some people would prefer to be the worst player on the team, but be on the winning team. If you did this, however, you wouldn't of earned it. That is why I would prefer to be the best player on the losing team.

  10. If I had to be the best player on a losing team or the worst player on a winning team, I would be the worst player on a winning team. If I was the worst player on a winning team, It doesn't mean I am really bad, it just means the other players are really good. Also, The winning team is probably really good, and everyone wants to be on a really good team. Lastly, I love to win! Some people might want to be the best player on the losing team, but then you would be sad when you loose. That is why I would want to be the worst player on the winning team.

  11. I would be the worst player on the winning team because, your team would still be able to win you would just be really bad! One reason why I would want to be the worst player on the team is because you really don't have to do much if you are really bad at that sport. Also, you would not have to practice if you are that bad! Some people would like to be the best player on the losing team because they want to show off how awesome they are! But just saying... you team is losing so... I would want to be the worst player on the winning team!

  12. If I had to choose to either be the best player on a losing team or the worst player on a winning team, I would choose to be the best player on a losing team. I would choose this because it doesn't really matter about winning, it matters more about having fun, and getting exercise. However, if you have never won a single game, then maybe you should choose to be the worst player on a winning team. In conclusion I would rather be the best player on a losing team.

  13. If I had a choice to choose between being the best player on a losing team or the worst player on a winning team, I would choose being the worst player on the winning team! I would choose the worst player on the winning team because you could get a shimmery trophy. Also, you could go out for victory cake! Finally, you would not have to do all the work. Although some may say that being the best player on the losing team is the best because they will pass to you more. Although, you have to do all the work, and your whole team is counting on you. That is why I would choose being the WORST player on the WINNING team.

  14. I would rather be the best player on a losing team than the worst player on a winning team, because if you are the best player, you can help everyone else get better. Also, if you are the best player, you could be really good, and it's just your teammates that slow your team down just a bit, or just plain bad luck. Finally, if you are the worst player on the winning team, you would probably be made fun of, because everyone else is so much better than you. Some people argue that it doesn't matter if you're good if your team is losing, but you can learn from your mistakes in that game, and be better in your next game.

  15. If I could I would pick being the best player on the losing team because you would get a good excuse. Another reason is that if you were the best player on the team you would get a lot of points for the.The last reason is if there is another team that you are playing that is really good the couch might want you on there team because you could still be the best player on another team, but that team would be better.

  16. I would rather be the best player on the losing team. Reason one is because you still get a lot of interviews. Reason two it doesn't matter if you win it is just about having a good exercise. Reason three people will still like you. Some people would rather win even if they're not the best player. This is whey I would would rather be the best person on the losing team.

  17. If I had to choose between being the worst player on the winning team or the best player on the losing team. I would choose the worst player on the winning team because nobody will pass to you and if you are tall you can get rebounds on the basketball court. Also, you can have a trophy and go celebrate. Finally, you won't have to do work. Although, people my think that being the best player on the losing team because you can play more but you lose. That is why I picked being the worst player on the winning team.

  18. If I had to choose to be the best player on the the losing team or the worst player on the winning team I would choose to be the worst player on the winning team. Here's why:
First,I would get to enjoy the victory. Second, who wants to lose? Third, it wouldn't be all my fault that we lost. Some people say they would be the best player on the losing team because they get other games, but I don't like to steal all the attention. If you are the best on the losing team, you aren't the best anymore. That is why I chose to be the worst player on the winning team.

  19. If I had to choose between being the worst player on a winning team or the worst player on a winning team I would choose being the worst player on a winning team. My team would always win, even if I'm not that good. People probably won't pass to me if I'm the worst player so I won't even have to play! Also you'll still get a trophy at the end of the season, and your whole team will be happy! Some people might want to be the best player on a losing team because you'll be the star, and everyone will pass to you, but your team would always lose. That's why I would rather be the worst player on the winning team.

  20. I would rather be the best player on a losing team because than I would get a lot of playing time, and I would get the ball a lot more than I usually do. Second of all, I would like to have people looking up to me. For example, I would love being the person people are counting on when we have a big game. However, some people might like being the worst on a winning team because you would get a lot of championship trophies, but if you were the worst player, it would mean that you didn't really play at all, so the trophy wouldn't mean anything! That is why I would be the best on the losing team.

  21. I would be the worst player on the best team because you could just practice more, and be very good. You would also get a Super Bowl Ring because everyone gets one if they are on the team. Finally, you would get to know a lot of Hall of Famers. However, some people would want to be the best player on the worst team because they get to be the BEST. That is why I would be the worst player on the best team.

  22. If I had to choose between being the best player on a losing team or the worst player on a winning team I would choose being the best player on a winning team. Here's why, one, you could be really appreciated by your teammates even if you lose(which you will). Second, when you are the best player you are less of a bench warmer, so you get to play more. And third, if you are the best player, you can help everyone get better. But some may say being the worst player on a winning team because you can never get down on yourself because you don't lose so much. But I still think being the best player on the losing team is better.

  23. If I had to choose between being the best player on a losing team or be the worst player on a winning team, I would choose to be the worst player on a winning team. I choose this because I am already am one and you would still win even though you are the worst player. Also, people would cheer for your team instead of booing you. However, some people might choose being the best player on a losing team because you can always tell your team how to fix their mistakes, but I think otherwise. That is why I would rather be the worst player on a winning team instead of the best player on a losing team!

  24. I would DEFINITELY be the best player on the losing team. MY reasons are, 1 I would be an awesome role model in being a baller. 2, I could get passed to a lot. Finally, WINNING DOESN'T MATTER AT ALL!!!!! #PlayForFun

  25. If I had to choose to be the best player on a losing team or the worst player on a winning team, I would choose to be the best player on a losing team. I would choose this because I could play a lot. I would also choose this because the crowd would always love it when I scored because I would just dribble past everyone and score! Lastly, I would choose this because I could play any position I wanted because I would be batter at them all than anyone. However, some people may say that being he worst on a winning team is better because you could always win. Would you really want to be on a team where you never play? I would not. I would rather be the best player on a losing team than being the worst player on a winning team.

  26. If I had to choose between being a bad player on a winning team or being on a losing team but being a good player , I would have to choose to be a good player on a losing team . First of all , you can get a lot of exercise because you have play as best to be the best player . Plus, you can just help your team .Most of all ,you can make a lot of good friends and give them tips. However , some people may want to be a bad player on a winning team because you can get to the playoffs faster. So ,you'r e not doing your best . This is why would be a good player on a losing team.

  27. If I had the choice between being the worst player on the winning team or being the best player on the losing team I would do being the best player on the losing team. It would just make you try harder. It would also get boring winning all the time. I would want to win a few games though. I would want to be the losing person only because I would know that I tried my best. If I won not having the ball a lot or not being in a lot I would just feel pathetic. I would also know why people would want to be on the winning team. But those are my reasons why I would want to be the BEST!

  28. If I had to choose between being the best player on the losing team or being the worst player on the winning team, I would be the worst player on the winning team. I could try my best but when we win, i'm at the top with no effort. I would be the worst player on the team but who cares? I would always feel great because we would always win. Some people would want to be the best player on the worst team so they could be very good. These are my reasons for my choise.

  29. If I could chose to be the best player on the losing team or the worst player on the winning team I would chose to be the best player on the losing team. My first reason is who cares if you win as long as you try hard and do your best. That is all that matters and there is nothing you can do about if the other team wins or not. My next reason is because if you are the best player on the team then you get to play a lot but if you are the worst on the team you might even be able to play. I would feel bad even if I won because I would feel that I didn't help the team at all. My last reason is because I would at least feel good about myself after the game because I would have scored a lot of points when if you never play at all then you wouldn't even feel good about yourself because you didn't play. However, some could argue that being on the winning team but being the worst player is better because they get to take home a trophy and say that you won but who wants to take home a trophy if you don't even feel like you deserve it. That is why I chose being the best player on the losing team over being the worst player on the winning team.

  30. What would you do if had to choose between having to be the worst player on the winning team or the best player on the losing team. I would be the best player on the losing team because I could sometime win a game and would get the ball passed to me the most. Also I could have a reputation in that sport that is why you should be the best player on the losing team, and that is why I am the best player on the losing team.

  31. I think it would be better to be the best player on a losing team because, If you are the best player you can brag about it. Some may say being the worst player on a winning team is better ,but It would not be better. For example, people would get mad at you when you mess up. This is why it is better to be the best player on a losing team than being the worst player on a winning team.

  32. If I had to choose between being the worst player on the winning team or the best player on the losing team. I would be the worst player on the winning team because nobody would care if you messed up a bunch because either way you won so it doesn't matter. Also because you won't feel bad because you won.And you wouldn't be getting yelled at. But if you lost and you were the best player on your team you would know that it wasn't your fault so you wouldn't feel bad. So that is why I pick to be the worst player on the winning team.

  33. If I had to choose I would be the best player on the worst team. first, you could teach your team to get better. second, it doesn't matter if you lose or win it matters if you have fun. lastly, you could get the ball passed to you a lot. however some people want to be the worst player on the best team because they could win, but I think the my team is the best. I would like to be the best player on the worst team because it doesn't matter, I could get the ball passed to me a lot, and your team could get better.
