Most families have special Christmas traditions. Write about one tradition your family enjoys. Does your mom bake a certain kind of cookie each year? Do you assemble shoe boxes filled with gifts for needy children? Chop down your own Christmas tree? Sing Christmas carols at a retirement home?Describe this tradition in at least a 5 sentence paragraph.
Be sure to include:

- supporting details
- complete sentences
- correct spelling, capitalization (M.I.N.T.S.), and end punctuation.
- a closing sentence

My family and I do a tradition that's really funny. We go to our grandparents house dressed in Christmas onsies. Then we eat chicken minis for an early lunch. then we open our stockings that our grandparents stuffed. Then we open presents we take turns going youngest to oldest. That's my Christmas tradition dressing up in onsies. -French
ReplyDeleteMy family has Christmas pajamas ,and we wear them on Christmas eve.In the morning we wake up in our pajamas,but the fun part is that wherever any of our families live we still have the same pajamas.This year our cousins are coming from Alaska to celebrate Christmas with us. We watch Christmas movies like Elf,Home Alone,and newer movies. We bake cookies with our grandma while listening to Christmas music. But when we come to our grandparent's house to open presents is really special because we get to see what our family took time out of their day to buy something for us.-Georgia
ReplyDeleteOur traditions are we open one present on Christmas night. We read the Night Before Christmas. We leave out milk and cookies. We always have one big gift. We do not leave the house on Christmas Day.

One of my families Christmas traditions is baking cookies. My mom and I will usually be the only ones baking cookies because my sister would be in and out. We would make like ten different types of cookies. Another tradition that we did before my grandmother died was that we would wake up open presents, my grandfather would come by our house to tell us goodbye before he got on an airplane, then we would go to our grandmothers to have a Christmas lunch with my entire family, and finally we would go to my other grandmothers house to have dinner. Now instead of going to my grandmothers to have Christmas lunch we go to my aunts and uncles house to have lunch.

One of our traditions is our grandparents coming over from North carolina. We always have a fun time with them. We also get a really tall christmas tree like 10 feet tall. We always make a fire on christmas eve. We have are dad's homemade pasta and meat sauce it is really good. We always have fun doing our christmas traditions. Henry W.
ReplyDeleteMy christmas tradition is that every year on my dad's side we read this book called "Baby Jesus is born". Then in the morning we eat My Pawpaw's famous coffee cake! It's delicious! My christmas tradition on my mom's side is that christmas morning we open our stockings. The me and my brother and my 2 year old cousin get to open ours first.Then the rest of my family.We eat breakfest befor we get to open our big presents. It's so tepting to open our big presents! After that, we finally get to open out big presents! Those are my christmas traditions!- Tilly
ReplyDeleteMe and my family's traditions is that every year we make fruit baskets for the elderly and give the fruit baskets to the elderly on christmas eve. Me and my family also make a new ordnanment every year to put on my tree. Then everyone in my family comes to our house on christmas to see our new ordnements.lizzie b
ReplyDeleteMe and my family go to the waffle house at Christmas morning every year. Its fun because my family goes. Also all the workers know us from the tradition. We also hang out with all my family and play sports. But mostly we play BASKETBALL and its so fun. We also watch movies like ELF,THE CHRISTMAS STORY and more.JACK #10
ReplyDeleteMy family stays in Nashville and my grandparents come out to see us. We decorate gingerbread houses and on Christmas eve we have a gift exchange where my grandma fills bags with stuff like gum packages and necklaces we each get 3 bags and we can either say we want to trade or keep the one we have but we can't look until we make a choice. On Christmas morning we go down stairs and open presets we a a special cake called coffee cake for breakfast. After my grandparents leave we go to great wolf lodge in Georgia and stay there for 4 days. My family have awesome Christmas traditions!

The most important christmas tradition my family does is have family over. Usually we have my grandparents over and that is what we are doing this year. My favorite thing to do with my grandparents is playing games with them. Also, me and my brother like to do things for them. Finally, most of all I like to give presents to them.

One of my families traditions is that when we wake up we can not go and look at our presents. We have to go and wait on the staircase where we can not see the fireplace or the presents. We have to wait until my parents get up and have about FIVE CUPS OF COFFEE!! Which takes forever! Finally we get to open our presents and eat breakfast. Then we load up and go to Kentucky with only a few of our presents. I love this family tradition!!

My sister and I go to my grandmothers house that lives in Nashville and we make christmas cookies.Another tradition We have is my mom makes sweet rolls and quiche and we watch pictures of us on are TV. ALso we have a advent chocolate calendar that every day it gives us a chocolate. After we open presents we go play with them. Also on christmas we have a lot of hot chocolate! - Lucy

My family's christmas tradition for my moms side is we draw names and who you get you buy them a present. On December 20 we exchange gifts in Maysville. After, we go and stay a couple days with our cousins in Louisville, Kentucky. Finaly, we go home for Christmas. Then, we have Christmas eve dinner with dinner with my dads side of the family. ReplyDeleteOur family goes to visit more of my family and we spend four days at my aunts and uncles house. We also go ice skating it's so much fun! Then my family goes to eat a fancy diner and my other realtors visit us one has a new car every year and its a sports cat. Then we open up presents and we leave!

DeleteMy Christmas tradition is that every Christmas day we go ice skating. It's so fun! First we celebrate Christmas, then, around lunch time we go. Like I said before it's so fun. Most of the time I'm not that good in the beginning but get better at the end of the time we ice skate. That is my Christmas tradition.

DeleteOne of my family traditions is that my brother and I switch houses because my parents are divorced. First, my brother and I wake up at my mom's house. Next, I go in my mom's room with my dog and wake my mom up. Then, we eat pancakes and they are delicious. After that, we open our presents while my dog plays with her new toys. Finally, we go to our dad's house and open our presents. I love my family's Christmas traditions!

ReplyDeletemy tradition is two nights before christmas we will go to my moms dads house to open presents. Then the next night (witch is christmas eve) we will go over to my moms moms house to open presents with all my cousins, as the night before. Then that night my grandmother will come to our house and sleep over to see us open presents,and my grandmother from my dads side will be there, too. Then after we open our presents we will go to my grandmothers house from my dads side, and see my cousins that live there, too (they live on a farm together). Then we will open presents there at my grandmothers house. Hope you injoyed reading my christmas traditions.
